My Visit to Kennedy Space Center

So I recently had to go to Kennedy Space Center (KSC) on business and managed to get a private tour of the facility. Here are some pics (I took almost 1000 pics) that I liked.

The Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) where the Orbiter is assembled with the solid rocket boosters and external fuel tank.

Here is the space shuttle Discovery on the launch pad. The External Fuel Tank is clearly visible.

In the foreground is the site of the Apollo 1 fire that killed astronauts Grissom, White, and Chaffee. In the background, a launchpad being used by the United Launch Alliance.

This plaque is on the remnants of the Apollo 1 site.

Some of the native wildlife at the cape.

I took this picture, only to notice a few days later that this bird had a huge fish in it's claws.
