I Was Part of the Inaugural Parade... Sorta

So the NASA SPR (which I mentioned beforehand here) is a lunar rover for the next generation. It was a part of the inaugural parade for President Obama, and here I am sitting in the driver's seat.

I just saw the film Across the Universe and it reminded me of the joy

of my many boxes (yes, I still have stuff in boxes) and I wonder where

Cleaning House

This room looks nice and boring now. Earlier today, it was packed with

While testing out the Canon XT (which I haven't used in a while), I came across this little yellow flower and decided to capture it. I think it came out pretty good. But I am biased.

Riding in Style

NASA's Small Pressurized Rover (SPR) made a guest appearance at Johnson Space Center for the employees and contractors to get a look and even get inside. I helped in the development for SPR's cost estimates and it was finally nice to see one (even a test model) up close.

Working Late

Bittersweet Find

A sports cap store here in San Diego had this hat in the back room. I was talking to the clerk about how much easier it is to find Cowboys gear in San Diego than in Houston. It is a bittersweet moment, since the Cowboys lost and didn't even make the playoffs. Woof.

Welcome!

My old blog hasn't had a true update in quite some time. I spend a lot of time posting on Facebook or on Twitter, so I felt no need to pay any attention to poor old Sorry Attempts. I do not believe I will be posting on my old blog anymore. So I bring you the new goodness!
So here is one of my New Year resolutions: Take a different picture each day and post it. Granted, this isn't an original idea. Shawna, my former coworker and friend, and her husband, Andy, had a blog where Andy would post a new picture he took everyday. Most of his pictures ended up looking beautiful and quite fascinating. I will not be taking pictures like that (hence the name of the blog).
For a little background, I have two cameras: Olympus Stylus 1010 (point-and-shoot) and a Canon Digital Rebel XT (DSLR). I will try to change it up a little and please feel free to send me any suggestions. Enjoy!
